The Pirate Parade in Fernandina Beach always kicks-off the festivities for the Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival.
Thursday, April 30th, 2020, at promptly 6:00 p.m., nearly all of Amelia Island’s groups, organizations, services, businesses, politicians, dancers, cheerleaders, high school marching bands, jeeps, motorcycles, and a ton of walkers will hit the street and march in this two hour parade.
Stick around until the end, you don’t want to miss the finale; when your favorite goodwill ambassadors come strolling by on their pirate ship with all of the booms and fanfare you would expect!
Be sure to head back downtown after the parade for a special – Thursday presentation – of one of our local’s favorite events, Sounds on Centre.
